And None Of Them Knew They Were Robots burst into life in late 2000, and began dazzling audiences with their powerful and energetic mix of post hardcore and indie rock

Their debut epoynmous album released in late 2001, on Pigdog Records recieved a great reception. Endless gigs and three UK tours followed, their last in support of their most assured release, the "Victory As A Drug" CD E.P, released on Jealous in February 2003.

The band decided to go split in late 2003 playing their final show at Josephs Well in Leeds as part of the Rocktober Festival. Stu, Duncan and Sam are all currently playing heavy metal heads Send More Paramedics. Duncan also plays in The Wireless Stores, whilst Kevin has a new band called Die Emergency, in which Sam plays so they are still around.

Reviews

"The music of ANOTKTWR can roughly been described as posthardcore with a certain amount of punk thrown in, maybe along the lines of faster and punkier Braid or Planes Mistaken For Stars."

"It’s great because lead track "Victory as a Drug" is two minutes twenty seconds hard on of primal joy, a cocksure aural assault that gets in and gets out — no guitar solos, no fucking bullshit, just a lingering virulent headrush of LIFE. It’s great because the magnificently titled "Fighting Dragons" is a swirling slab of sonic confusion. It’s great because it fucking ROCKS."
(Drowned in Sound)

"Emotive, explosive and full of exquisite hook–laden guitar riffs. It’d be so easy for this to fall flat on its face, but they are so together and on the same wavelength that it goes beyond cacophony and the result is something immense."
